The dust collector steam drum (also known as air drum or air distribution box) is the core pressure vessel of the pulse jet cleaning system for bag-type pulse dust
collectors. Its main function is to store stable compressed air, provide a continuous, uniformly pressurized jet air source for the pulse valves, and ensure a stable
and reliable dust cleaning performance.
Basic Structure and Materials
Main Material: Commonly made of Q235B carbon steel or stainless steel, mostly formed by welding seamless steel pipes. The circular structure delivers superior
pressure-bearing performance.
Core Interfaces: An air inlet is arranged on the top, and an air outlet on the side is connected to the pulse valve and blowpipe.
A blowdown valve is installed at the bottom, along with safety monitoring accessories such as a pressure gauge and a safety valve.
Pressure Resistance Parameters: The design pressure is usually 1MPa, and the normal working pressure shall not exceed 0.7MPa. After manufacturing,
the product must pass a pressure resistance test at 1.5 times the working pressure.
Operation and Design Requirements
Volume Standard: The volume shall ensure that the internal pressure drop after a single injection does not exceed 30% of the original pressure, so as to guarantee
the stability of the air source.
Compliance Requirements: As a category of pressure vessels, it must be designed and manufactured in strict accordance with national standards such as GB150.
Large-volume air reservoirs can be connected in series through pipelines to form an air storage circuit to reduce pipeline resistance.
Supporting Logic: The larger the volume, the more stable the working air pressure inside the air reservoir. The required volume can be calculated through formulas
based on parameters such as the number of pulse valves, air consumption for injection, and pulse interval.
