The star-shaped discharger is capable of forward and reverse operation. Its motor itself supports forward-reverse switching, and the equipment structure is also
adapted to the working conditions requiring frequent starts and forward-reverse operations.
Practical Usage Specifications for Forward and Reverse Rotation
Forward Rotation (Normal Working Condition): This is the standard operating mode of the equipment. The impeller rotates in the specified direction to stably convey
materials from the upper silo to the lower discharge port, while maintaining the air-locking and sealing effect of the system. It is applicable to the vast majority of
continuous unloading scenarios.
Reverse Rotation (Special Scenarios): It is only used for short-time emergency operations. For example, when the impeller is blocked by foreign objects or viscous
materials adhere to the blades, short-time reverse rotation can shake off the stuck materials and clear the equipment. However, long-term continuous reverse rotation
will change the material flow path, aggravate the wear of seals, even cause blockage of the discharge port, and greatly shorten the service life of the equipment.
Precautions for Reverse Rotation Operation
The single operation duration of reverse rotation is recommended to be controlled within 30 seconds to avoid abnormal friction between the impeller and the casing
for a long time.
Before reverse rotation, the equipment must be shut down and powered off. The operation can only be carried out after confirming that there is no severe deformation
of the equipment and no overload risk of the motor.
After the blockage clearing is completed, forward rotation shall be restored immediately, and reverse rotation shall not be used as a conventional unloading mode.
