Before maintenance, you must first shut off the air source of the corresponding air reservoir, release all residual pressure in the pipeline, and disconnect the power
supply to the solenoid valve coil to prevent high-pressure air flow from ejecting and causing personal injury.
Precisely locate the leakage point first
Soap Water Leak Detection Method: Apply soapy water evenly to the valve body connections, flanges, exhaust ports, and weld seams. The position where bubbles keep
forming is the leakage point.
Pressure Monitoring Method: After closing the air circuit, observe the air source pressure gauge. A continuous and rapid drop in the reading confirms the presence of an
air leakage fault.
Auscultation Method: In a quiet environment, press a screwdriver against the valve body to transmit sound. A continuous "hissing" sound will allow you to pinpoint the a
ir leakage position.
Targeted solutions for different fault scenarios
Air Leakage at External Connections/Connection Points
Mark the leakage point with soapy water, then tighten the valve body connecting bolts by applying even force diagonally to avoid slight deformation of the valve body
caused by excessive force on one side. Replace the aged and damaged interface sealing gasket, and apply a thin layer of sealant on threaded interfaces to enhance air
tightness.
Air Leakage Caused by Jamming Impurities
Disassemble the valve body, take out the diaphragm and valve core, completely remove impurities such as rust, welding slag and dust between the sealing surfaces. Use
low-pressure compressed air to purge the inside of the valve body in reverse direction, and at the same time clear the approximately 1mm air pressure balance hole to
ensure the air circuit is completely unobstructed.
Air Leakage Due to Damaged Diaphragm/Sealing Components
Disassemble the valve upper cover, take out the old diaphragm that has fatigue cracks or perforations, and replace it with a new diaphragm that is fully compatible with
the original model. Inspect the O-ring and sealing gasket at the same time: if they are hardened or deformed, replace them together with original spare parts of the
same specification. Clean the sealing surfaces thoroughly before reassembly to ensure tight fit without any gaps.
Air Leakage Caused by Power Component Failure
Use a multimeter to test the coil resistance. If the resistance is 0 or infinite, it indicates a short circuit/open circuit in the coil, so directly replace it with a new coil that
matches the original voltage rating (DC24V/AC220V). Also inspect the valve core return spring: if the spring force is attenuated, or the spring is rusted or broken, replace
it with a new spring of the same specification to ensure the valve core can fully reset and close.
Exclusive "False Air Leakage" for Submerged Pulse Valves
If all components of the valve body are normal but air leakage persists, reach into the air reservoir to inspect the wall of the blowpipe. Once sand holes or leaks are
found, repair or replace the blowpipe directly to eliminate bypass leakage.
Indirect Air Leakage Caused by Abnormal Air Source
Check if the air source pipeline is blocked or leaking, and adjust the air source pressure to the rated working range of the pulse valve of 0.4-0.6MPa. Clean the pipeline
filter and drain valve, unclog the blocked pipeline, and repair or replace the failed pressure reducing valve to ensure smooth air flow and stable pressure.
Post-maintenance verification steps
After all maintenance work is completed, slowly introduce low-pressure compressed air at 0.2MPa first, hold the pressure for 5 minutes to confirm there is no air leakage
Then gradually increase the pressure to the rated working pressure, and trigger 3-5 injection tests by powering on. After confirming that the valve opens and closes
flexibly without jamming or abnormal air leakage, it can be put into normal operation.
