There is no unified fixed replacement cycle for dust collector filter bags. Under normal and stable operating conditions, replacement is generally required after about
2 to 3 years, while in harsh environments, the service life may be as short as 1 year or even less. Judging the replacement timing based on the actual operating
condition is more reliable than rigidly adhering to a fixed service life.
Basic Replacement Cycles for Different Materials
Polyester Filter Bag: Approximately 1-2 years under normal room-temperature working conditions
Polypropylene Filter Bag: Approximately 2 years under acid and alkali-resistant room-temperature working conditions
PPS Medium-temperature Filter Bag: Approximately 2-3 years under slightly corrosive working conditions such as in boilers
PTFE Membrane-coated Filter Bag: Can be used stably for 3-5 years under harsh high-temperature and strongly corrosive working conditions
Actual Replacement Cycles Under Different Working Conditions
Light Dry Woodworking Dust: Low abrasiveness, with a replacement cycle of up to 18-24 months
Hard Ore and Sand Dust: High abrasiveness. Under normal working conditions, replacement is required in 12-18 months, which will be shortened to 8-12 months
under 24-hour continuous production
Wet Viscous Dust: Prone to dew condensation and bag clogging. Even water and oil-repellent filter bags only have a replacement cycle of 8-12 months, and
replacement is required in about 6 months when dew condensation occurs frequently
High-temperature Flue Gas from Boilers: Supporting high-temperature-resistant filter bags are conventionally replaced in 12-16 months, and the cycle will be
shortened to 6-10 months when over-temperature occurs frequently
Strongly Corrosive Chemical Dust: Special anti-corrosion filter bags are replaced in 6-12 months, while ordinary filter bags will fail only after 3-6 months
Criteria for Immediate Replacement
The pressure difference remains stably above 2000Pa for a long time after dust cleaning, and the air permeability cannot be restored
Dust emission is visibly observed from the chimney, and the online emission monitoring data triggers an over-standard alarm
The filter bag has large-area caking, hardening and embrittlement, with the air permeability less than 50% of that of a new bag
The filter bag has obvious tears or perforations, with a damaged area exceeding 100cm²
It is recommended to conduct professional inspection on the filter bags every quarter, and develop a personalized replacement plan in combination with the pressure
difference changes and emission data, so as to avoid environmental protection failures caused by extended service.
